FAQ

Simply put, anything that goes on the outside of your home, we do! Whether it is new siding, windows, roofing, doors, or gutters, Loyalty Exterior is your one-stop-shop for home exterior updates.

Generally, no we do not do repairs for a variety of reasons.

Roof patching: We strongly advise against this. The process of removing and then replacing small areas of shingles becomes a problem because a) depending on the age of the current materials, new materials are now being made in a different size, and will not only be noticeable but will compromise coverage, and b) by walking on the older portion to be able to repair a spot can damage the part that does not need replacing, and c) by nailing new shingles through older underlayment and shingles, will not only compromise the integrity of the “ok” shingles, could also void any warranty or insurance claims in the future, should it be needed.

For Siding: Siding can be very hard to match, especially depending on the age of what is to match, whether it is color, style, or brand.  Because of these reasons, we do not repair a section of siding, but could possibly replace an entire side of the home.  This is on a case by case basis.

For Windows:  We can replace and entire window, but do not do glass repair.  We would be glad to assist you in a warranty issue on a window that we have installed.

Yes, with a few exceptions.  There is a four (4) window minimum that needs to be met.  If only one (1) window is to be replaced, a fee will be assessed.  However, if you need a door, and want to add one (1) window to a door order that you have, the minimum fee will be waived.

No.  We will be happy to help you get the door you need!

There are options available to you. We generally split your project into 3 payments.  We will accept payment by either check, credit cards with a minimal processing fee, we accept Visa, Master Card, or American Express. We also have financing available.

We adhere to Virginia state law of a three (3) day cancellation period from the time the contract is signed.

No, we do not do general maintenance such as painting, caulking, or glass repair / replacement.

No, you cannot order materials from us online, as all materials are measured exact for the specific need.

This is depending on the project, project size, and materials needed. Windows can be done in generally 4-6 weeks. In some cases, can be in as little as 2 weeks. Siding has a general rule of 6-8 weeks, as does roofing materials.

Please understand that due to the nature of exterior projects, this time frame can lengthen or shorten depending on weather patterns, and material supply. Any “acts of God” that may cause major widespread damage, such as a hurricane, can in some cases cause a backlog of installations of certain projects, such as roofing and siding.

Most window projects are completed in one day, but can sometimes take a second day to complete depending on the number of windows.

Vinyl Siding can take as little as 2 or 3 days. Larger projects can take a little longer.  If Hardie Siding is to be installed, due to the nature of the install, it does take longer than vinyl siding. The average Hardie install is between 7 and 15 days, depending on the size of the house.

The only one who can authorize any type of remodeling to a home is the homeowner. If you rent, and there are items that need to be replaced, please discuss it with the owner of the home and have them contact us.

Although there are many, many exceptional quality products on the market today, we have carefully selected manufacturers whose products we stand by, and would use on our own homes.  We would not ask anyone to put a product on their home that we would not be willing to use ourselves, nor products we could not stand behind.  For more information, please see the products section of our website to explore what we have available.
